Following on from the Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s address to the nation this evening (10th May) he stressed the importance of ensuring that the entire construction industry goes back to work as soon as possible. He was at pains to underline the criticality of Covid-secure construction sites. He made it clear that the government expects these Covid-secure sites across the building industry and the construction sector to observe social distancing guidelines and to continue to uphold the safety and security of its workforce during this challenging time. He said:
“We now need to stress that anyone who can’t work from home, for instance those in construction or manufacturing, should be actively encouraged to go to work.”
As Covid-secure is likely to become an industry standard we wanted to react as quickly as possible so we have added the below Covid-secure construction site poster to our display documents.
Covid-secure Construction & Building Site Poster
This will sit alongside our exiting comprehensive range of coronavirus and Covid-19 construction site documentation which is automatically generated by using Ohutu and which is specific to your business and your project. These include a social distancing poster, a hand washing poster, the latest site operating procedures (SOPs) from the Construction Leadership Council and a copy of the open letter that the secretary of state wrote to the construction industry informing them that could carry on working on site.
These SOPs will also be added into the Covid-secure Construction Phase Plan which we also create automatically for you as part of our easy to use and constantly updated system.
We’re committed to supporting you as your sites start to swing back into life and would encourage you to get in touch of there’s anything we can do to help. These are difficult times for everybody and we wish you and we hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and well.
Best wishes from the whole Ohutu team.
